LUCKY STRIKE LIVE in HOLLYWOOD ROCKS

So ya wanna Rock!!!,…. say ya’ll wanna rollllllll!!!, then take your cyberspace buddies, mama, papa, lil sis and big bro too, and go out to do just that, on Wednesday nights jam session, at the coolest spot in Hollywood, “ Lucky Strike”. The Strike is also lucky as it offers not only billiards to get your family bowl on, the host of bad ass, legendary musicians that could appear, at the best of the midnight rock hours is by, check this! “Invite only”.

The likes of Willie Chambers, ( Chambers Brothers),  Austrian born, international renowned sax man Reinhold Schwarzwald, by the way, Reinhold invited us out to the, “ live and in living color”, jam session. Jazz master and twice around winner with a Grammy, Jerry Jemmott, guitarist Louis Motoyer, Neil Turbin, David Cook, and a host of other round about Hollywood artistic intelligence who “You”, the fans are sure to love.

I was able to grab a small spot in the media area near the stage. The one small act, set off by the helping hands of Andrew, the tall cameraman with the white hair, who was kind enough to let me stand in front of his very tall camera and shoot. This was the highlight of the evening in addition to the show of course. The 19,000 sq. ft, venue holds 12 state of the art lanes, a private party room, ( affectionately known as the Marilyn Monroe Room), a private lounge, pool table, table top arcade, classic photo booth, sophisticated AV system, DJ Booth, smoking patio, 7 large projection screens, bar and cocktails, in addition to affordable bottle service.

If that don’t regurgitate your bubbles, smokers get their own patio, while having wine with food that is simply divine.

Now for those of you who are young enough to remember “Lucky Strike,” the cigarette brand, here’s a tidbit of history:

In 1871, “R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company” branded “Lucky Strike” cigarette and former

“Cut-plug”, chewing tobacco a household name. Produced by British America Tobacco and Japan Tobacco the US brand originally created for pressed tobacco grew in both name and brand. The company selected green as the color for the “Lucky Strike,” carton pack – a color that is still popular among American women and men in today’s armed forces. In order to promote the cigarette brand, the company decided to use Hollywood female stars. In 1929, the manufacturers of “Lucky Strike,” organized the feminist parade “Torch of Freedom”, where women were coming along the main streets of New York, proudly holding the green cigarette pack over their heads. The color of red and white eventually became the brands choice due to the high content of copper used in the green made popular by military men of that time.

Rest assured that same growth and lively step up spirit continues at the Hollywood based live music venue named, “Lucky Strike.”

Lucky Strike,” has no cover charge and provides an intimacy that can only be felt when right here in Los Angeles  and that’s authentic. True to the history of the names former founders, the self-contained hot spot has maintained its commitment to provide a platform for emerging artists who take the next step on the ladder towards fame and fortune. Meanwhile established artist have the opportunity to command a righteous amount of respect, a stage to comfortably express what it is that they have to say and above all, a place to “ROCK.”
