That’s So Michael No That’s So MJS Raven World’s Only Female Michael Jackson Impersonator

There aren’t many people that can move through life in ways that mark their destiny one of those people is Crystal Nicole Pullen. You can also call her MJS Raven the only female Michael Jackson Impersonator. At age 15 inspired by her mother a professional performer and dancer MJS had her very first stage experience. Fresh out of the box and with no idea of how the crowd would react they received her with open arms and she hasn’t stopped rolling or should I say moonwalking ever since. Beloved in her community and the world over Crystal Nicole Pullen wholeheartedly admits that it blew her away, and that she was unprepared for the positive reception her performance received. The very first one she blushes; “people came up to me and told me how much they loved the show. I had not a thought of how they might respond”. Like most dancer performers having self-discipline is necessary and an integral part to having a successful run of performances. MJS Raven puts her all into the dance and into becoming MJ each time she goes onto the stage. Her process before each show is to pray, meditate and then dance. Practice and warming up for the show take time and energy and with her enigmatic presence here is always more from where that came from. MJS Raven’s journey of finding what she was born to do is admirable and clearly shows the effect that the King of Pop has on everyone especially children. “The children run up to me and say Michael, you’re back”. Now is that adorable or what? Her warm-up routine, priceless. Her embodiment of the essence and spirit of MJ surpasses any that I have ever seen. Because she can, live and onstage, embody the persona of a masculine performer is a remarkable talent to have. The audience doesn’t see her, they see Michael. Either way, when MJS Raven steps onto a platform and moves, grooves and screams like Mike on tippy toe all while grabbing her crotch just the way he did is one of the many highlights of the show.

She has toured both the East and West coast. Is featured in the critically acclaimed, “The Michael Jackson’s”, by author, Lorena Turner and is an acknowledged and confirmed MJ dance performer by MJ’s primary choreographer, Lavelle Smith, Jr. A trip to Nepal, Italy is on the table for conversation as a part of a music and performance tribute tour this year.
