In America at times there’s confusion as to the difference in a courtier aka seamstress and a fashion house. In France the two are separated the seamstress is not a fashion house, just as the ability to sew does not make one a designer. In France a seamstress knows how to make the clothes however lack the creative skill to design but know the functionality of making the clothes, he says. In his early days in America people would ask him if he was a seamstress and he would say, no, nah, I inspire create and elevate ones, look personality and their entire being.
