There is an old saying that says that angels walk amongst us here on Earth, well in this case there is some truth to that saying although this angel’s wings come with a bit of an edge. Factually speaking Jacqueline Murphy, had her first real job as an actor producer-director, and writer at age six when she instinctively took over directing her siblings by telling everybody where to go and what to do, one could say that she already had it in her. It’s no surprise that her first TV Series called “The Admired” was admired so much that it gained her over 50 film festival awards, becoming a part of the FYC Emmy nomination list pre-covid. Jacqueline began her journey as a budding actor in New York City building a well-earned and respectable body of work alongside directors, Martin Scorsese, “Goodfellas”, Mike Nichols, “Regarding Henry and Wolf”, Ron Howard, “The Paper” and Nora Ephron, Mixed Nuts, to name a few. As fate would have it those experiences put a fire under feet that were already in motion and before long a chance encounter meeting actor, executive-producer, Peter Kwong, and Creator, Director, and writer, Carlos Moreno, Jr. at a TV academy event would change her life and theirs forever. Without her knowledge and by asking her to say the words, “Hi, I’m Councilman Miriam Price and I approve this message”, Peter decided on his own put the word out that there was a talent that had to be seen and heard, he called Carlos and boom, Jacqueline became a viable part of the Pepito team, for “Pepito’s America Mamadas “. With a to-die-for cast of smoldering creatives and an idea, “Pepito’s America Mamadas”, the comedy short-form drama series category is the 2023 FYC Ballot for Emmy nomination. After guest staring as Lawyer, Emily Trudeau in several episodes of the Law & Order franchise as a lawyer in “Law and Order Criminal Intent”, the role of Councilman Miriam Price in Carlos Pepito’s America came naturally and the rest I guess one could say is, her-story. Jacqueline Murphy and Pepito’s America is a daily dosage of perfect writing and comedic timing that all of us can taste.
