Bibiana Huang is a lot of things. artist, curator, fine arts photographer, and founder of the Inspiration Art Group. A global international exhibition success has put the right eyes on her and the many projects she oversees. Without a doubt, she can juggle with the best of them. She brings other artists who might not have been seen to the forefront. Blending fine art while using the lens of photography, painting, and installation it’s no wonder those who know her feel a sense of pride when walking within her confiding and gentle field of creativeness. Bibiana maintains a personal space of clean, quiet, and calm and keeps it that way except for when she is curating.
Now for those who don’t fully understand the term curating, the word has become ever more popular and used amongst the many to describe the talent of organizing and presentation. When curating Bibiana says the enjoyment of choosing a specific theme for an exhibition, and the diverse group of artists who submit is really uplifting and inspirational. However, when receiving thousands of submissions for any exhibition it can be overwhelming. The curator puts the art show together. Sometimes we will have an idea and then we find artist to give the idea life, or we put out an open call for submissions. As a curator, we approach the galleries or museums for the exhibit. Usually, women artists are shown during March only however women are showing up more and more on every platform. Our group does physical exhibitions throughout the Hudson Valley and New York City area and virtual exhibitions so that others from around the world may become members. We also have groups of solo shows. Our group also offers field trips and artist residencies. We have 150 members globally.
This year we have over 500 pieces of artwork submitted. The hardest part is choosing the art for the exhibition. Not that the other artist isn’t good, but their art may not fit in with the rest of the show. Within our group, we present an exhibition called, “Address Earth”. The exhibit addresses our earth, our planet. I will put out a call to gather the artists for the presentation.
We are hopeful that in the future we will have enough space to include the work of other artists in the show.
In January of next year, we have a planned exhibition in Puerto Rico and one in China with artists from different countries. Also, in 2024 we will have a bigger space and incorporate some of the artists who submitted to various shows.
When it comes to doing her show that can sometimes be a bit of a challenge and is the only time that she puts aside others to accommodate for her artistry. Her themes are full of heart. Yes, Bibiana uses hearts of all shapes sizes, and colors to heal the world. She says that our hearts can help to change the world. C’mon, you’ll ya got be a real woman with a heart to say all of that.
