Our show guest never arrived. I have no idea why or why there was no communication after we reached out several days before the show and on the day of the show. Anyway, personally, with all going on in our own lives and around the lives of others, the story of the WIZ (the Black version of the Wizard of Oz) and the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz, came to mind. The three characters, the Scarecrow, Tinman, and the Lion, along with Dorothy, were all looking for a piece of themselves that seemed to be lost, and they needed The Wiz to find it and give it back. This proves that seeking help from our friends and external sources will do no good if we don’t have the core of ourselves in balance and harmony. These three characters in my mind represented those who have no heart, no brain, and lack courage when life circumstances require them to do so. However, when life comes calling and karma is banging at the door, we often respond or react with ill will. Without these basic elements found in the depths of one’s character, all the outside help, including the worship and reverence to external deities, wouldn’t be successful. The basic karmic pattern of anger, ignorance, and greed of the individual will remain at the forefront until the person brings these parts of the emotions into synchronicity with universal laws and principles.
